Career and experience

Paul Graves served as Chief Executive Officer of Rio Tinto Lithium following Rio Tinto’s acquisition of Arcadium Lithium plc in March 2025.  He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Arcadium Lithium and its predecessor, Livent Corporation, where he led major corporate transformations and cross-border M&A, including the merger of Livent and Allkem and Arcadium’s subsequent sale to Rio Tinto. Prior to Livent, Paul was Executive Vice President and CFO of FMC Corporation. He spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a Partner and served as Head of Natural Resources Asia and Global Head of Chemical Investment Banking. He trained as a chartered accountant with Ernst and Young.
